Gold Coast replaces Adelaide 7s

Adelaide has been ditched as a host venue on the IRB Sevens circuit.

Gold Coast has become the new home for the Australian leg of the series for the next four years.

Skilled Park will host the first round of the 2011 and 2012 season in late November.

ARU chief executive John O’Neill said the Gold Coast is known as a city of fun and excitement and that’s the type of atmosphere they’re looking to create for the event.
