Gau Secondary School will be aiming to defend their title at the Maritime Zone this Friday at the ANZ Stadium.

The Island school has never won any Gold medal in the Coca-Cola Games and are aiming to improve on their performance.

In 2016, Samuela Digitaki won Gau Secondary’s first ever bronze medal in the 1,500 metres and they had celebrations for two weeks on the island.

Last year, Gau won both the Boys and Girls divisions in the Maritime Zone.

The schools that are taking part include Rotuma High School, Adi Maopa Secondary School, Ratu Finau Secondary School and Cicia Secondary School.

Meanwhile, the Coca-Cola Games will begin next Thursday and end next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
