Funding available but it is not requested by sporting administrators - Mazey

There is funding available but in some cases, it is not requested by sporting administrators for their different organizations.

This was stated by Fiji Sports Council Executive Chairman Peter Mazey at the Fiji Sports Coaches Forum that was held today at Albert Park.

Mazey says Government has provided the Sports Commission with funding, short term experts, scholarships and international coaching grants but it depends on the National Sporting Organizations to apply for them.

The Fiji Sports Coaches Forum focuses on building a coach on the services they provide in their individual fields.

The forum will end on Friday.
