Not even free beer is getting fans to come out in numbers to watch the Brumbies in their Super Rugby matches.
The Brumbies have won 10 straight games at Canberra Stadium - including their first two matches this season - but thousands of seats remain empty each week as disillusioned fans stay away from the struggling code.
Despite the impressive winning streak and some entertaining rugby, Canberra crowds are down 17 per cent this season after the opening two rounds averaged just 7267 fans.
They have even introduced game-day initiatives for children, set up a new bar area, and even given away free beers this season, but it hasn't worked.
In matches this week, the Blues will take on the Crusaders at 6.05pm Friday, the Rebels will face the Waratahs at 8.15pm Friday, the Sunwolves will play the Chiefs at 3.45pm Saturday, the Hurricanes will take on the Sharks at 6.05pm Saturday.
The Brumbies will face the Highlanders at 8.15pm Saturday, the Lions will play the Stormers at 1.05am Sunday and the Reds will take the Jaguares at 9.40am Sunday.
