Former New Zealand Football Coach, Ricki Herbert will coach the Ba soccer team in the OFC Champions League.
Herbert is the second manager and only New Zealander to take the All Whites to the FIFA World Cup for a second time when New Zealand qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Under his guidance, the All Whites drew all their group matches including a memorable 1-1 draw against four-time World Champions, Italy.
Herbert arrived into the country yesterday and held discussions with the Ba FA Board last night.
Herbert is currently at Ratu Cakobau Park and will observe Ba's game against Labasa from the stands.
He will officially start work with the Ba FA from the 10th of next month.
Ba is in Group D of the OFC Champions League with AS Venus of Tahiti, Auckland City of New Zealand and a team yet to be confirmed.
Ba's group matches will be played in Tahiti in March.
Herbert will also advise the Ba FA if they need to recruit more top players in the player transfer window.
Meanwhile, Ba will face Labasa in the second leg of the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion series at 3pm today at Ratu Cakobau Park and you can catch the live commentary on Radio Sargam.
