The Flying Fijians will slip to 11th place when the IRB World Rugby rankings are released next Tuesday.

This is after they lost 27-16 to Tonga in the last round of the IRB Pacific Nations Cup competition today in Nuku'alofa.

Fiji led 13-7 at the break after a try from Saula Radidi and a penalty from Taniela Rawaqa.

But the second half belonged to the Tongans, who played gallantly and scored two tries in the second spell of the last 10 minutes to seal the victory and maintain their winning record against Fiji in the Pacific Nations Cup competition.

Meanwhile the other two matches in the competition will be played tomorrow. The Australia A / New Zealand Maori match will decide the champion of this season and the other game will be between Samoa and Japan.
