Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Coach John McKee says that Fiji’s loss to Scotland over the weekend was frustrating, as they regroup to prepare to face Uruguay this weekend.
McKee said that the 54-17 loss was a frustrating result as the teams had been evenly matched during the first 40 minutes.
McKee says that they went into the game with high expectations and he felt their preparations had been good but was not executed as planned on the day.
The Flying Fijians coach adds that it was disappointing that at half‑time they were right in the game, two yellow cards right on half time really caused them some problems and Scotland scored a try on either side of half time.
Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians will have their chance for a comeback when they take on Uruguay this weekend.
Fiji and Uruguay are also pooled in the same group for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan next year.
The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians will take on Uruguay this Sunday at Gloucester, Fiji will then play their last game against France on the 25th of this month.
