The Fiji Airways Fijiana 15s team have retained their title as Oceania Rugby Women's 15s Champions by defeating the Samoa Manusina Rugby team 43-12 in the final at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Fiji Captain Rusila Nagasau said the team expected a touch match and were made to work hard to win the Championship.

Samoa Captain Masuisui Pauraisa said the team was also very grateful for all the support they have had received from all their supporters from Samoa and abroad.

In the battle for third place, the Tonga Women's Rugby Union defeated PNG Palais in 62-26.

Meanwhile the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians created history this morning when they secured a hard‑fought 21‑14 victory against France in their final November international in Paris.

The win is a significant one for the Pacific islanders as it is their first‑ever victory over France in 10 Tests.
