Fijiana qualifies for final

The Telecom Fijiana are now just one step away from qualifying to the Rio Olympics after booking its spot in the Oceania 7's final.

Fiji thumped Papua New Guinea 38‑nil in the second semi‑final while Samoa edged Cook Islands 17‑15.

The Fijiana will play Samoa in the final at 5.30pm today.

Meanwhile, Tonga will play Australia at 6pm in the men's final.

Tonga upset Samoa 41-5 while Australia beat Papua New Guinea 36-nil in the semis.

The winner of the men's and women's competition will qualify for to the Rio Olympics.
