Fiji wins bid to host 2016 Oceania Volleyball Championship

Fiji has won the bid to host the 2016 Oceania Volleyball Championship in Suva at the Vodafone Arena from the 2nd to the 7th of May, 2016.

A total of 10 countries are expected to participate in the Oceania Championship which is the qualifier to the Asian Championship.

Fiji Volleyball Federation President Elesi Ketedromo said that resilience and fortitude displayed by the people of Fiji in the aftermath of Winston is to be commended and volleyball would like to help in the rebuilding process through sports.

As Fiji bids to attract tourists back into the country, Fiji Volleyball seeks to redefine our international image through our ability to host such tournaments reassuring the world that Fiji is capable.

Meanwhile part of the gate takings and revenue collected will be donated to charity from the Oceania Volleyball Family.
