The Fiji Women’s Hockey team won gold at the Oceania Intercontinental Hockey 5s with a comprehensive victory over Samoa women's grand final in Sydney.
Vanuatu thrashed the Samoan men 11‑1, with captain Hiro Namu bagging five goals, while Lora Bukalidi scored twice as Fiji ran out comfortable 5‑1 winners over Samoa.
Solomon Islands outclassed Tonga 6‑1 in the men's bronze medal match, John Levo and Jason Ifua scoring two goals apiece.
The Solomons also claimed bronze in the women's competition, with Jeremy Ghailobo collecting five goals as the Melanesians beat the Kingdom 7‑2.
Meanwhile, Australia won the Oceania Cup titles on home soil, beating the New Zealand men 6‑0 and Black Sticks women 2‑0 respectively, with Papua New Guinea a distant third in both competitions.
