The Fiji Football Association will bid to host the group matches of Lautoka in the OFC Champions League in March next year.
Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says they want to have Lautoka’s matches hosted at Churchill Park.
Ba has also qualified for the OFC Champions League and will have to play its matches abroad.
He says Lautoka is keen to host the matches and they will soon make a submission to the Oceania Football Confederation.
Meanwhile, a major change will take place in the Fiji Football calendar as for the first time the Champion versus Champion series will now be played just two weeks after the Courts IDC this October.
This series was always played in January but the Fiji FA has now decided that the CVC will be played straight after the IDC.
Labasa who won the 2016 IDC will face this year’s League winners Lautoka in the CVC.
The first match will kick off at 1pm at Subrail Park on 28th October while the second match will start at 7pm at Churchill Park on 3rd November.
