Fiji to meet Samoa in World Rugby U20 Trophy Final

Fiji U20 players and Samoa U20 players in action at the World Rugby U20

The World Rugby U20 2018 Trophy final will be an all‑Pacific Islands affair with Fiji and Samoa meeting to not only determine the champion but also the side who will be promoted to the World U20 Championship next year.

Fiji and Samoa are undefeated.

The Fiji U20 team played catch up rugby against Canada last night to come out victors 53‑26.

Canada was leading Fiji 20‑7 at halftime and 23‑14 going into the last quarter of the match.

Fiji ran in seven tries in the last 20 minutes to defeat the Canadians.

Fiji had earlier beaten Uruguay 55‑34 and Portugal 32‑22.

Fiji will face Samoa in the World Rugby U20 Trophy 2018 final at 4pm next Monday.
