Fiji to host month-long Pacific Rugby Challenge

The Telecom Fiji Warriors will be hosting the World Rugby Pacific Rugby Challenge which will see Argentina, Japan, Tonga, Canada and Samoa.

Fiji Warriors selector Alifereti Mocelutu said the month long tournament will be held at the ANZ Stadium.

Mocelutu added the Fiji Rugby Union has announced the names of the 61 players for the Warriors.

He added these players are all local based and will be having their first training session this Friday.

He said they will be appointing the new Warriors coach and his assistant on Thursday.

The squad has majority of the Nadroga players from the Skipper Cup and the Farebrother Challenge.

Some key players who are expected to make the final team are Peni Ravai, Setefano Somoca, Leeroy Atalifo, Emori Waqa, Sakiusa Gavidi, Ilisoni Tavaiqia, John Stewart and Maikeli Mocetadra.

The World Rugby Pacific Challenge will kick off on March 10 at the ANZ Stadium.
