Fiji qualifies for 2012 Paralympics
Fiji has qualified for the 2012 London Paralympics thanks to 26 year old Nadrala villager - Iliesa Delana.

Delana who has just returned from a successful outing at the International Paralympics Committee's World Championship in New Zealand over the weekend.

The Nadrala youth came home with a Silver medal in Long Jump as well as becoming the second best in the world.

Speaking to Fijivillage this afternoon, Delana said his dreams to represent the country were spoilt when he was three years old as he was involved in a bus accident however the silver medal win has achieved his dreams.

Delana jumped a total of 1.73 meters for him to win Silver.

He is expected to take part in overseas games before the 2012 Paralympics.
