The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians have only beaten the Wallabies twice ahead of their Rugby World Cup opener in Sapporo Dome in Japan on Saturday.
The first win was in 1952 where Fiji won 17-15 while the other was a 18-16 victory in 1954.
Australia and Fiji have met just seventeen times since their first match in 1952.
In their two Rugby World Cup matches Australia defeated Fiji 55‑12 in France in 2007 and the Wallabies won 28‑15 in 2015 in England.
They last met in June 2017 and the Wallabies won that match 37‑14.
Both teams match well on the field with the forward packs weighing in at 947kg for Fiji and 911kg for Australia.
The Australian squad has a far more experienced line up with 1,406 tests compared to Fiji’s 618.
The Rugby World cup kicks-off tomorrow with hosts Japan taking on Russia at 10.45pm.
Fiji play the Wallabies at 4.45pm this Saturday.
France and Argentina face off at 7.15pm Saturday while the All Blacks and Springboks clash at 9.45pm Saturday.
On Sunday, Italy and Namibia play at 5.15pm, Ireland and Scotland face off at 7.45pm Sunday while England clash with Tonga at 10.15pm Sunday.
