Fiji's Luisa Tamanitoakula wins the ball in the air
Fiji beat New Caledonia 2‑1 in their final match at the OFC U‑19 Women’s Soccer Championship and has finished second in the competition behind New Zealand.
The 2‑1 win for the Vodafone Fiji Under 19 team is a small reward in what has been an emotionally testing tournament for the debutants.
Coach Saroj Kumar says it has been a heart‑warming tournament for them.
He says losing their goalkeeper and then settling for silver is a wonderful achievement for them.
Luisa Tamanitoakula scored both goals for Fiji.
