The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians have dropped to 10th place in the World Rugby rankings while Pacific Nations Cup Champions Japan has moved up to 9th place.
This is because Fiji lost to Japan in their first Pacific Nations Cup match 34-21 and also could not get a bonus points against Samoa last Saturday.

Japan who had a good PNC season, defeated Fiji 34-21, thrashed Tonga 41-7 and thumped USA in the final 34-20.
Last time Fiji was in 10th place was last year, before they defeated France 21-14 last November.
Fiji will be playing Tonga on August 31st before they will take on Australia in their first game in the Rugby World Cup on the 21st of next month.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Uruguay and Georgia.

The Rugby World Cup will begin from the 20th of next month to the 2nd of November.
People can also meet the Flying Fijians squad to the World Cup this Saturday at Albert Park from 8.50am to 11am.
