The Fiji Airways Men’s 7’s team will have to improve their discipline as they cannot afford to take yellow cards in their crucial match against South Africa tonight in the Cape Town 7’s.
Fiji managed to defeat USA 28-14 earlier today but were reduced to five players at one stage when Vilimoni Botitu was yellow carded for challenging a USA player in mid-air and soon after Paula Dranisinukula was yellow-carded for a high tackle.
South Africa has speedsters with the likes of Seabelo Senatla, Rosko Specman, and Justin Geduld and any sent off for Fiji may prove fatal.
The Fiji Men’s 7s Team will face South Africa at 12.51am tomorrow before meeting Japan in their final pool match at 6.35am tomorrow.
The Cup quarterfinal is scheduled for 10.18pm tomorrow, semifinals start at 1.39am Monday and the final will start at 5.56am Monday.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s beat Russia 38-19 in its first pool match.
