The Fiji Women’s 15s team is looking forward to showcasing their talents when they face Papua New Guinea in the inaugural Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship tomorrow.
Coach Seremaia Bai is targeting a win and will be banking on his experienced players like Talica Vodo, Leilani Burnes, Esiteri Bulikiobo, Rusila Tamoi and Mere Moto.
Captain Leilani Burnes is calling on the public to come out in numbers to support the first women’s 15s team.
Tomorrow’s winner will keep their Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 dreams alive.
The winner of this one off match will take their place alongside two Asian teams in the final qualifying event for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 in Hong Kong in December.
The top two sides from this tournament will complete the 12 team line up the World Cup, which runs from 9th to 26th August.
The match will kick off at 3pm tomorrow with tickets being sold at $5 flat at the Fiji Sports Council Office in Suva.
