The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 rugby team has secured a spot for next year’s World Rugby Under 20 Championship after they defeated Scotland 59-34 this morning in the 11th place playoff.
Fiji scored a total of eight tries, two from Osea Waqanivatu while Osea Natoga, Kaminieli Rasaku, Ilaitia Droasese, Veresa Ramototabua, Anasa Qaranivalu and Issac Ratumaitavuki scored a try each.
With this win, Fiji will be playing again in next year’s Under 20 Championship while Scotland will be relegated to the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy.
Meanwhile, France has defended their title by beating Australia 24-23 this morning.
In other results, New Zealand defeated Ireland 40-17 in the 7th place playoff, England beat Wales 45-26 in the 5th place playoff while South Africa defeated Argentina 41-16 in the 3rd place playoff.
