Fiji U23 players to boost Nadi in the Courts IDC

Nadi soccer president Javed Ahmed says five players who are in the Vodafone Fiji U23 soccer team will boost the side in the Courts IDC.

Ahmed says players like Tito Vodowaqa, Afraz Ali and Patrick Joseph are most likely to join them by next Monday.

He says that playing infront of their fans will give them an edge over the rest of the teams as they won the Fiji FACT title the last time Nadi hosted a major soccer tournament in 2013.

Ahmed says excitement is building amongst the home fans and can be seen on the streets as they are talking about the tournament and asking about the team.

Nadi last won the IDC in 2002.

The 2019 IDC starts next Tuesday at Prince Charles Park where Ba will play Tavua at 1.30 pm, Rewa will play Nasinu at 3.30 pm, Labasa will battle Lautoka at 6 pm while Nadi faces Suva at 8 pm.
