Nine players who won the World Rugby Pacific Challenge Cup with the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors last month has been named in the 30 member squad of the Vodafone Fiji Under‑20 Team for the Oceania Championship in Gold Coast, Australia later this month.
These players include skipper and hooker Tevita Ikanivere, Livai Natave, Jovesa Nasaroa, Taniela Ramasibana, Alivereti Loaloa, Simione Kuruvole, Caleb Muntz, Veresa Tuqovu and Osea Waqa.
Coach Kele Leawere says after nine weeks of training he was impressed with the commitment shown by the players.
Out of the 30 players, only five players were part of the squad which won the World Rugby Junior Trophy in Romania last year.
The Vodafone Fijian Under‑20 side plays New Zealand in its first game at 7pm on the 26th of April then four days later they face Australia at 9pm.
They take on Japan final match at 7pm on the 4th of May.
