Action from the Fiji Residents vs Tonga match.

The Fiji Residents proved to be too strong for the visiting Tonga side last night with a 24-16 win at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji pressured Tonga throughout the match however Tonga managed to score three tries.

Fiji Coach Josaia Rabele says the boys played a lazy game and they could have prevented the Tongan’s from scoring a try.

Rabele says they will need to improve in defence in the ruck area if they want to win games.

Meanwhile the team to represent Fiji to the Ohana Cup in Hawaii were also named after the game and they are:

Simon Peter Lomaloma, Etuate Qiomacawa, Orisi Rokobati, Iliesa Cakau, Komai Anisito, Lemoci Iveri, Ratu Ilaitia Volavola, Jovilisi Naqitawa, Etuate Tagicakibau, Pio Seci, Mitieli Koro, Aborosio Navori, Mosese Naliva, Naipoliono Waqanivalu, Simon Wise, Michael Peters, Richard Fiu, Filipo Talei and Mosese Tawake.

The Ohana Cup will be held next Saturday.
