The Fiji Men’s soccer team now face an uphill battle to qualify for the Pacific Games final despite their 10‑1 demolition of Tuvalu.
This is after group leaders New Caledonia beat Tahiti 3-nil last night to cement their position at the top of the table.
New Caledonia now have a maximum of 12 points and even a draw against Tuvalu will guarantee them a place in the final against New Zealand this Saturday.
Fiji will be hoping that Tuvalu creates a major upset and beats New Caledonia.
The Fiji Soccer team will play it's final group match against the Solomon Islands at 6pm Thursday.
