The Fiji Football Association will re-look at their plans to bring teams for International Friendlies in Fiji as there has been poor turnout at the grounds.
According to the Fiji FA, around 1,500 people turned out at the ANZ Stadium to watch the Fiji versus New Caledonia match and around 2,000 spectators came to Churchill Park yesterday to witness the Fiji-Mauritius match.

Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says they paid for all costs of the New Caledonia and Mauritius soccer teams which includes accommodation, meals, training venues, transport and other things for six days. He says these two teams only paid for their airfares to Fiji.
Yusuf says they were banking on good public support to ease the financial burden.
He says if this kind of turnout continues, then it will be easier for them to play their International Friendlies overseas.
Meanwhile, Yusuf adds that they may not allow live streaming and live broadcast of matches on TV as this may have contributed to the low turnout.
