The Fiji Football Association has shortlisted two expatriates for the position of Head Coach for the Fiji Soccer Team.

Fiji FA’s President, Rajesh Patel says both will be interviewed soon.

Patel says they may get the new Fiji Soccer Team Head Coach by the end of this year.

If an appointment is made in the next few weeks, the new Fiji Soccer Team Coach will have just over two months to prepare the Fiji Soccer Team for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Frenchman, Christophe Gamel stepped down from his position in August this year, just a month before the OFC Olympic Qualifiers where Fiji failed to secure a spot in the Tokyo Olympics.

Gamel stepped down from his position due to personal reasons after joining the Fiji FA in 2017.
