The Fiji Rugby League side won their opening match over Cook Islands 26-18 but lost to Tonga 24-18 in the second match at the Pacific Mini Games.
Against the Cook Islands Fiji scored two to Nemani Valekapa while Jone Yacadrau and Seruvi Ralulu scored a try each. They only had 30 minutes of rest before taking on Tonga in their second pool game.
Manager Mesake Navugona said despite the loss, he believes they are still on track to make the medal play offs.
