With only 30 days to the Pacific Games, the Vodafone Fiji Bati team knows that host Papua New Guinea will be tough on their home ground.
The Fiji Bati who outclassed the Kumuls a few months ago in their Pacific Double header are expected to field a different side with many local players.
Rugby league coach Maika Vunivere says Samoa and Tonga will also be tough.
Vunivere adds that local players in the Central and Western division have started preparing under the guidance of development officers in their divisions.
The Rugby League competition at the Pacific Games will be played in the nines format.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month.
