Vodafone Fiji 7s team coach Ben Ryan will name his 16 member squad today after some key players suffered injuries in the Nukubati Resort Macuata Youth Provincial 7s tournament.
Ryan was supposed to announce his 16 member squad for the Dubai and South Africa 7s after the final yesterday.
He says he does not want to rush the naming of the 16 member squad as he will also be analyzing some players.
Aminoni Nasilasila suffered a chest injury and is still being assessed while Donasio Ratubuli is likely to miss the World Rugby season opener after breaking his leg.
Ryan says some other players suffered knocks and bruises.
He says he was happy with the senior players.
Ryan also says he will name the final 12 member team next Friday.
Meanwhile, the Wardens 7s team has won the Nukubati Resort Macuata Youth Provincial 7s tournament after beating the Vodafone Fiji 7s team 17‑14 in the final.
The final of the Macuata Youth Provincial 7s was supposed to be between Fiji One vs Fiji Two after they won their semifinals.
However, Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan asked if the Fiji One and Fiji Two teams combine while Wardens Gold and Green also combine to form a team for the final.
Fiji One had beaten Wardens Gold 28‑5 in the first semifinal while Fiji Two beat Wardens Green 24‑10.
