Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Team Coach Gareth Baber says they have talked to other countries about the potential to generate competition during the Hong Kong and Singapore 7s period.
Baber says the postponement of the two tournaments does affect their plans for the Olympics.
He says they have spoken to Australia and New Zealand and will see how that goes.
Baber says it also provides opportunities for players to go through training phase.
World Rugby, the Hong Kong Rugby Union and Sport Singapore have taken the decision to reschedule the two tournaments to October in response to continued health concerns relating to the Novel Coronavirus outbreak.
Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Argentina, France and South Korea in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles 7s will be held on the 1st and 2nd of March.
