The Digicel Fiji 7s will wait for the medical clearance of veteran Nasoni Roko this morning before naming the team to play Namibia in the opening pool game tonight.
Roko has been told by the physiotherapist not to train with the team as they continue to monitor how well he has recovered from his injury.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula is likely to use some of his new boys like Nikola Matawalu, Joeli Lotawa and Miti Nacagilevu in the first game against Namibia to boost their confidence ahead of the other two crucial games against USA and Samoa tomorrow morning.
Tanivula said each team will now know the weakness and strengths of their opponents.
Samoa coach Stephen Betham said they cannot make any excuses as they try to defend their IRB 7s series especially as they are in the same pool with Fiji.
Fiji will open their South Africa 7s campaign against Namibia at 11.43pm tonight.
