Farina chosen as new Fiji National Football team coach

Frank Farina has been chosen as the new coach of the Vodafone Fiji National Football team.

Fiji Football President Rajesh Patel announced this in a press conference in the last hour.

Farina has replaced Carlos Buzzetti whose term has expired.

Farina was appointed the Australian National Coach in 1999.

He says that a lot of work needs to be done to take Fiji soccer to a greater heights.

Farina led the national Under 20 side as they pulled off the biggest upset of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand, beating Honduras 3‑0 for the country's first‑ever win at a FIFA tournament.
