The Fiji Rugby Union is yet to decide on who will take the national sevens team to the first leg of the IRB World Sevens Series in Gold Coast next month.
This comes after assistant coach Etuate Waqa has taken up a contract in Tonga as the new director of sevens for the Island Kingdom.
Waqa took the team to Gold Coast last year as national coach Alifereti Dere could not make the trip due to travel restrictions.
FRU is not confirming whether they will be applying for a visa for Dere to travel to Australia with the team next month.
It is expected that Wardens and Namosi coach Timoci Wainiqolo is likely to take the team to Australia next month.
Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Australia, Tonga and Scotland for the Gold Coast tournament.
Fiji is the defending Gold Coast Sevens champions after beating New Zealand 26-12 in the final last year.
The Gold Coast Sevens will be on the 13th and 14th of next month.
