The second semi-final of the Rugby League World Cup has been confirmed.
England overcame the PNG Kumuls 36-6 and will now play Tonga in the second semi-final at 6pm Saturday.
England scored seven tries in the match.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji Bati will play the Australian Kangaroos in their third successive Rugby League World Cup semi-final this Friday after they beat the NZ Kiwis 4-2 in the quarterfinal.
NZ is the world’s second-ranked team in rugby league.
This was the first time for Fiji to meet NZ in a rugby league match and it was historic as Fiji which is a tier two nation beat NZ which is a tier one nation.
However, it will be an uphill battle against the Australian.
In the 2008 semi-final, Australia thrashed Fiji 52-0 while in the 2013 edition, Australia thrashed Fiji 64-0.
The Fiji Bati will play Australia at 10pm Friday.
