An emergency call to Laura Langman is a top priority for Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby when she arrives home this week.
The Silver Ferns are in desperate need of help after an embarrassing 67‑48 thrashing against Australia in Johannesburg, South Africa, last night which handed the Diamonds the Quad Series title.
Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby spoke to midcourt great Langman, the second most capped Fern in history with 141 tests, before Christmas about where she was at and a possible return to the national side.
Langman, hasn't played for the Silver Ferns since October 2016 after signing in Australia with the Sunshine Coast Lightning, who she won the title with last year.
She was unavailable for selection for the Quad Series and would need to sign with a Kiwi franchise before she could be considered for the Ferns during the Commonwealth Games.
