Chris Dry will join the South Africa 7s squad for the Singapore 7s this weekend in place of the injured Philip Snyman.
Snyman took a knock during their semi‑final defeat in Hong Kong.
Coach Neil Powell says Chris Dry will bring massive experience and ability to the team.
Dry last played in the Vancouver 7s last month where he became only the third South African to reach 50 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournaments.
South Africa is pooled with Scotland, Russia and Kenya.
Meanwhile, Fiji takes on Samoa at 4.12pm Saturday in their first pool match of the Singapore 7s. We then take on Portugal at 7.33pm Saturday. Our last pool match is against England at 11.26pm Saturday.
The Cup quarter finals kick off at 3.58pm Sunday, the Cup semis start at 8.28pm Sunday while the Cup Final kicks off at 11.38pm Sunda.
