A massive celebration is expected to be held at Dratabu village in Nadi as they welcome their two heroes and Olympic gold medalists Samisoni Viriviri and Kitione Taliga.

Former Minister and village chief, Taukei Navo Ratu Meli Saukuru says they will have their own mini float in the village where the students of Vunayasi District School and Dratabu Kindergarten will line up along the village to the hall.

Ratu Meli adds that the Dratabu Rugby Team carry Viriviri and Taliga on a chiefly seat called “Tavata”.

They have also dressed up a horse in blue and the horse will be part of the mini float.

He says FRU Chairman Francis Kean welcomed Semi Kunatani, Leone Nakarawa and Ropate Kauvesi at Nadi Airport this hour, and they are expected to attend the celebrations in Dratabu as well.

Ratu Meli adds that the Turaga na Tui Vuda and the Tui Nawaka will be at the celebration with other invited guests from around Nadi.

The 7s celebration in Dratabu will start at 4pm today.
