The St George Illawarra Dragons have confirmed that Josh Dugan will undergo minor surgery this week as a result of a cheekbone fracture suffered while playing for Australia last Friday.
Dugan will miss the next three weeks of rugby league.
Round 10 of the NRL will kick off on Thursday when the Bulldogs meet the Cowboys at 8.50pm while the Dragons will meet the Sharks at 7pm Friday.
Melbourne Storm leads the NRL table with 16 points.
