Colonial Cup plans mapped out

The Fiji Rugby Union has already mapped out plans for next year's Colonial Cup competition.

FRU's Peter Muprhy said the pre-season Colonial Cup will start early next year so that players are well prepared when selected to play in the Sanyo Cup competition.

Murphy said the coaches have also been selected and they are now in the process of selecting the players for each franchise.

He said Nadi's Iliesa Tanivula will coach the Crusaders next season while Etuate Waqa has been given the nod to coach the Knights.

Former Fiji under 19 coach Josua Toakula will manager the Highlanders and Reverand Joji Rinakama remains as coach for the Stallions side while Manasa Bari is in charge of the Roosters team and Ifereimi Tawake will coach the Northern Sharks.

The 2008 Colonial Cup competition will kick off on 16th February.
