Today marks Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji’s 45 years of sponsorship to the Fiji Secondary School Athletics Competition as the journey of the Powerade National Torch Relay was launched this morning.
Seventy-three schools will be part of the Torch Relay this year with Koro High School and Thomas Baker Memorial School in Nadi to experience the relay for the first time.
Coca-Cola Games president Marika Uluinaceva says that this year’s games will be more exciting as it is in line with the Commonwealth Games and also after the tough competition last year in the boys division.
The Torch Relay will start at International School Suva, Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, Suva Muslim School and Nabua Secondary School next Monday before heading to the Lomaiviti group to visit Koro High School.
Adi Cakobau School and Natabua High School are the defending champions of the girls and boys division respectively.
The 2018 Coca-Cola Games will be held on the 20th and the 21st of next month at the ANZ Stadium.
