Fiji Airways National 7s team head coach Gareth Baber’s son, Adam is one of the young talents with enormous potential who was exposed during the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup.
Adam who is a Year Nine student of International Secondary School in Suva, says that he chose to play football because rugby is not offered as a sport at his school however he says that he is coping well.
He says when as a little kid he was living in Wales, he loved football but he is better at rugby.
The fifteen year old says football with the Fijians is a little tough as they speak a different language, play with a different mentality, and they are all very physical.
Adam Baber revealed that he has been receiving continuous tips from his dad in whatever he does.
He says he would love to make a career in rugby but since his school is not offering rugby as a sport, he is making the most out of football.
Baber says Fiji is definitely the place to be as the people are really nice and he loves the lifestyle.
Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup concluded in the Western Division last Saturday.
