Fiji soccer coach Christophe Gamel will finish off his term as the coach on the 30th of this month.
Gamel will step down due to personal reasons.
He says he will leave soon as his son needs him in France.
He says with the help provided they have managed to help improve Fiji’s soccer rankings.
Gamel also thanked Fiji Airways Men’s national 7s team coach, Gareth Baber for all the meetings and talks they had.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel says it is based on mutual agreement that they have decided that Gamel will finish off on the 30th of this month.
Patel says Gamel will help the Men’s under 23 team that is preparing for the Olympic Qualifiers that will take place next month and also help the Fiji Women’s under 19 team before he departs.
Patel says they are working on signing a contract with Gamel to work as a liaison agent where Gamel will help players get overseas contracts and help Fiji in securing games.
Patel says till they get a new coach Marika Rodu will be looking after the Fiji Under-23 team.
Gamel joined Fiji FA on January 2017.
