Bodybuilding Fiji out to end 20-year gold medal drought
John Lee

Bodybuilding Fiji is looking at ending a 20-year gold medal drought in the Pacific Games.

Bodybuilding coach John Lee says the last time Fiji bagged a Gold medal was back in 1995 and this has been the longest drought in twenty years of the Association's history.

Lee says one of the main reasons is due to lack of funds.

He says they are aiming to win 3 gold medals in this year’s Pacific Games.

Some of the bodybuilders are reigning Mr Fiji Inoke Ligairi, former Mr Fiji Lewaitasi Biliwaqa, Voniriti Radua, Jekesoni Yanuyanudrua and Maryann Moss and Hafia Work.

11 gold medals are up for grabs in bodybuilding with the competition starting on the 13th of next month.
