Beauden Barrett will be captaining the Hurricanes for the second time this season as TJ Perenara is on the second week of his All Black rest this week.

With Dane Coles and TJ Perenara unavailable, Barrett was given the task to lead the side in their round 12 match against Rebels today.

Hurricanes head coach John Plumtree has made three changes from the starting XV from last week’s impressive 47‑19 win over the Chiefs.

With Perenara out, Richard Judd makes his second start of the season replacing Perenara at half back while Jeff To’omaga‑Allen comes in at tighthead prop after Ben May has been ruled out with a minor injury.

Isaia Walker‑Leawere will make his 10th appearance for the Hurricanes at lock.

The Hurricanes will take on the Rebels at 5.15pm this evening, the Highlanders will face the Chiefs at 7.35pm while the Brumbies will host Blues at 9.45pm tonight.

Early morning tomorrow, the Bulls will take on the Waratahs at 1.05am while the Jaguares will face the Stormers at 7.40am.
