Barrett to miss Hurricanes' Super Rugby opener against the Waratahs

Hurricanes first five‑eighth Beauden Barrett will miss the Hurricanes' Super Rugby opener against the Waratahs in Sydney.

The newlywed will be serving one of his two mandatory All Blacks' leave weeks when the Hurricanes play on the 16th of next month and he is also on his honeymoon in Dubai with wife Hannah Laity after their got married on the 19th of this month.

Barrett, as well as fellow All Blacks Jordie Barrett, Ngani Laumape, TJ Perenara, Vaea Fifita, Ardie Savea and Dane Coles, get two All Blacks‑prescribed rest weeks during the Super Rugby season.

The Hurricanes begin the Super Rugby Campaign against the Waratahs at 8.45pm Saturday the 16th of next month.
