Beauden, Jordie and Scott Barrett will become the first trio of brothers to appear for the All Blacks in a Rugby World Cup match after they were named to start against Canada in their Pool B clash tomorrow.
They will also be the first trio of brothers to start in the same Rugby World Cup match since Elisi, Manu and Fe’ao Vunipola represented Tonga against Scotland in 1995.
Beauden will start at fullback, Jodie will be positioned on the right-wing while Scott will start in the locks.
Hansen had hinted before the tournament that he might rotate Beauden with Richie Mo’unga at flyhalf during the pool matches.
He has preferred Barrett and Mo’unga to operate as dual play-makers but the pair are the only fly-halves in the squad and Hansen had said that he would use utility backs in his side to cover if one of them got injured in the pool matches.
All Blacks will face Canada at 10.15 pm tomorrow.
