Fiji Airways Men's National 7s coach, Gareth Baber says he has to consider whether those players’ who have been hurting the side with indiscipline should be selected in the team.
Fiji received 12 yellow cards in 10 matches in Dubai and Cape Town.
In the recent Cape Town 7’s, Fiji team was reduced to five men in two crunch matches and these were matches against quality sides like New Zealand and USA.
When questioned by Fijivillage as to how he will ensure that Fiji improves discipline on the field and focus on clean hard-hitting defence, Baber says individual player discipline has to kick in.
Baber says they also need to keep possession from kickoffs.
Captain, Paula Dranisinukula, Sevuloni Moceinacagi, Vilimoni Botitu, Meli Derenalagi, Waisea Nacuqu, Isoa Tabu, Kavekini Tabu, and Josua Vakurunabili copped yellow cards in the last two tournaments.
Hamilton 7’s will be played on the 25th and 26th of next month and Fiji is pooled with Argentina, Australia, and Samoa.
