Ba soccer team created yet another history after winning the Fiji Cup in New Zealand yesterday afternoon beating Lautoka 2-0 in the final.

It was fireworks at Mangere stadium where more than 6000 former Fiji citizens witnessed Fiji soccer rivalry at its best.

The match was intense from the first whistle and Ba’s Aisea Codro along with Lautoka’s Shameel Rao and striker Valerio Nawatu were shown red cards.

A lapse in concentration allowed Ba’s utility man, Aisea Codro to slot in the first goal while upcoming striker, Isimeli Naresia put in nail in the coffin in the second half.

Ba also walked away $6000 richer after winning the final.

In the semi-finals, Ba came back to beat NZ Tavua 3-2 while Lautoka beat Nadi 3-0.

Meanwhile, in the lone National soccer league match yesterday the Under 20 started its campaign on a high after beating Nadroga in their home ground by 3-0.
