Ba is the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the Courts IDC after beating Rewa 2-1 in their second pool match last night.

Maveliko Nakama and Samuela Nabenia scored the goals for the Men in Black.

The Ba soccer team has come into this tournament as a changed and improved side with young players like Nabenia, Kishan Sami and Sitiveni Cavuilagi performing well.

Ba has 6 points after 2 games and will face Dreketi, who surprised all by holding the defending champions Labasa 0‑0.

Ba coach Roneel Kumar says he has told his players to play simple football and play passes to the feet of their teammates.

Dreketi will have to beat Ba and hope the other results go in their favour to qualify for the semi-finals.

Rewa needs a draw against Labasa to qualify for the semifinals while Labasa is in a must‑win situation.

In other matches, Tavua shocked a star‑studded Lautoka side after holding them to a 1‑1 draw.

Tavua will need to beat Suva to qualify for the semifinals while a draw for Suva could take them through after the Whites defeated Nadi 3‑0.

Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy says they were fortunate to get a point in the match.

Lautoka needs a draw against Nadi to book a semi-final spot while Nadi will need to win by a big margin and hope the other results go in their favour.

The final pool games will kick off at 2pm today with Suva facing Tavua, Ba will take on Dreketi at 4pm, Labasa will face Rewa at 6pm while hosts Lautoka will play Nadi in the last pool match at 8pm.
